The narrative sees the displacement in terms of vehicles coming into, and out of, Xiong’an. The imagery will not focus on the city itself, but rather what enters and leaves it — the displacement of both humans and resources. In this scenario, Xiong’an is an infinitely expanding project, which attempts to fix the mistakes it has created by adding even more construction. This band-aid construction effort is expressed in terms of endless transportation vehicles, carrying resources to Xiong’an, demolished debris and destroyed farmlands away from it, people/workers to and from its borders, and more. It shows cranes moving structures, trains transporting people, trucks transporting material, and pipes transporting water.
